Last in the quartet of "Dictators of Bluegrass," Benito Bolivar Buckner is named after Simon Bolivar Buckner, who fought for the confederate army in the Civil War. Buckner eventually became governor of Kentucky in 1887. He had to contend with the violent feuds that happened in the eastern part of the state such as the Hatfields and McCoys.
